Happy Halloween!

Nothing says Halloween better than that pumpkin-LOL It is quiet around here most nights so it will be more lively tomorrow:) There are some children living down the street from my neighborhood and some of them find their way here;) I have my fav candies in the event I have to eat leftovers-LOL My Mom didn't believe in trick or treat so she would buy me a bag of candy of my choice. I didn't suffer as she frequently made my fav cupcakes-vanilla with a lemon chocolate frosting-Yum!!! I always received a costume and I was allowed to march in the children's parade downtown. My church always had a Halloween party for the children with doughnuts, cookies and lots of fun and games. It sometimes seems like yesterday as my old mind treddles back that far-LOL Wishing you all a safe and fun Halloween!!

Mini Cinnamon Rose

Our weather has been so mild this year and my mini cinnamon rose bush produced this gorgeous bloom this week. This mini rose bush isn't very generous with blooms, but when it does, they are a sight to behold. I got lucky with it this year-two whole blooms-LOL Do any of you have plants that are stubborn about producing?

This bush is out front so I don't have to worry about Goober watering it everyday;) My boy can water and water until a plant drowns:) It is going to be 81 degrees today!! I know fall is coming??? Hope everyone is off to a great new week-hugs!

Goober was never able to keep a sweater on because Pip helped him out of it. He noticed the sweaters that I have been putting on Bella so I decided to try a sweater on my boy and see what might happen. Goo kept the sweater on for several hours this morning so I have hopes he won't wiggle out of it-LOL I tried telling him that he looked like a Hollywood hunk, but as you can see, he turned his camera shy self away from my camera and me;) Bella was barking in the background like she was cheering him on-it was a sweet moment:)

Maggie is visiting and we have been enjoying a good time together. She is with me for 5 weeks and she is very comfy. I tried to get Maggie to accept Goo and Bella, but she wouldn't have anything to do with them-sad:( I am not going to push Maggie as she has emotional issues and I don't want to rock her boat. Maggie really doesn't know she is furry with 4 legs;)

It is labor Day already and I wish my family and friends a good day:) It is going to be 95 this afternoon, but the morning started off cool. Bella found sunshine and took a long sunbath:) Goober is a hot dog so he found the shade:) My two kids are doing so well together and I couldn't have asked for a better friend and family member than our sweet Bella. She is an amazing and smart little girl. I sat her down the other day and had a talk with her. She was still being skittish when I approached her. I held her face in my fingers and told her that I loved her and that I would never harm or hurt her in any way. She looked straight into my eyes and I could see her understanding of what I was trying to communicate to her. I promised her love and care for all time and she responded immediately. It was such a touching moment and I will never forget it. I just wish others could understand the depth of understanding that resides in the heart and souls of our sweet companions.

 Goober is enjoying a peaceful snooze in his igloo:) My boy is happy with his companion and they have a terrific relationship. When Bella disappears on the other side of the yard, I tell him, "Go find Bella." He takes off and comes back with her in tow-LOL He keeps a watchful eye as long as he isn't napping:) Goober is one in a  million and then some!

Bella does her share of snoozing:) She is more likely to be laying in the grass than on the patio. When the grass is wet, she makes a bed on the rugs:) I will be buying some sweaters for Bella when fall and winter come. Both kids will be inside more and I think they will be happy. Goo won't wear a sweater, but I will give him a blanket to wrap around so he can nest. My boy is quite the nester;)

I'm new to this blog so I've posted a pic of my two dogs, Goober and Bella plus my huge shadow;) One of my friends has helped me along the way to getting started on here and I thank Mumsy with a huge hug! I'm learning my way around here so bear with me as I get the brain-tinker to co-operate with me-LOL Just wanted to say hi as I look for my friends:)
